Q. How does my child (or I) join nTyme?
A. If your child is in one of the music programs supported by nTyme, they automatically benefit from nTyme.  nTyme is always looking for volunteers to help us achieve our goals.  If you would like to help, please e-mail anyone on the Board for more information.
Q. What does nTyme stand for?
A. nTyme stands for the North Torrance Youth Musicians Ensemble.
Q. Why is nTyme capitalized like it is and not 'NTYME'?
A. By using the nTyme capitalization, it helps people pronounce the abbreviation as 'in time.'
Q. What music programs does nTyme support?
A. nTyme supports the following music groups: Mommy/Daddy & Me Violin, Beginning Strings, Lil' Symphony, North Torrance Youth String Orchestra Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Wind Ensembles, Reed Rush (Clarinet Choir), North Torrance Strings 'n Things, North Torrance Jazz Band, North Torrance Youth Symphony Orchestra, and North Torrance Youth Chamber Orchestra.
Q. How can I help my child with his/her music education?
A. Having your child participate in their school music program, if one is available, is very beneficial to their music education and is highly recommended. Also, private lessons offer one-on-one instruction and are essential in developing and refining playing skills and proper technique. If you are interested in getting your child a private instructor, please contact the director for references of good teachers in the South Bay area.
Q. When are rehearsals or concerts?
A. Please check the calendar of events on our website for these dates. You will also receive email updates from our secretary (email address is secretary@ntyme.org or ntyme.mail@gmail.com). Please make sure these addresses are unblocked from spam.
Q. When are the nTyme Board meetings?
A. Regular Executive/Committee board meetings are held on the 3rd Monday of each month at Arlington Elementary School Cafetorium. General board meetings are held once a quarter.
Q. How do I volunteer?
A. We are always looking for more volunteers. If you would like to get involved, please email us at vice_president@ntyme.org. We will gladly find you a place in the organization that is going to put your special talents and abilities to work for the students. We can also use your help at one of our events.
Q. I want to donate to nTyme, how do I do that?
A. You can now donate online with PayPal. By donating through PayPal, you can use a credit card to make a donation to nTyme quickly, conveniently, and safely ... and most donations are tax deductible (please confirm with your tax professional)!  Many companies/corporations/foundations also offer matching gift programs, where they will match your charitable gifts. Inquire with your company's human resources department to find out if your company has a matching gift program. Contributions will also be accepted directly to the Treasurer (treasurer@ntyme.org), payable to nTyme. Lastly, Do you know of any company(ies) that would love to donate to us?
